Our client in Jericho, NY is seeking a detail-oriented Collections/Accounts Receivable Specialist on a temp-to-hire basis. This role will be responsible for managing customer accounts, following up on outstanding balances, applying payments, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting the overall accounts receivable process. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and prior experience in collections and AR.Key Responsibilities:Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on past-due accountsContact customers by phone and email to collect outstanding balancesResearch and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and account questionsPost customer payments and maintain accurate account recordsReconcile AR accounts and prepare account status updatesCollaborate with internal departments to resolve invoicing or payment concernsMaintain detailed collection notes and documentationAssist with credit evaluations and account reviews as neededSupport month-end close activities related to receivables
