Our portfolio of over 25 brands touches lives in more than 50 countries by making useful things joyful. Together, we reimagine good mornings and endless summers, strive for more sustainable ways to beautify and bond, and do it all with not only confidence but determination.

Overview

We’re hiring Blade Makers for our large, established manufacturing operation.

This is a hands-on production role where manufactured components move through setup, grinding, and honing processes before becoming completed products. Depending on your station, you may adjust machinery, inspect precision products, change out worn components, or help keep the production line moving.

The work is physical and fast-paced, requiring you to stay active, keep up with the production line, and work alongside your team to meet daily production goals. While we are looking for dependable people who are comfortable working with their hands, you will use process control methods to achieve optimum machine settings.

What makes this role different:

50% of Your Days Off: Rotating 12-hour schedules + ability to choose either days or nights

Competitive employee benefits including medical, dental & vision coverage; 401(k); life, accident, and disability insurance; and wellness programs

Responsibilities

Equipment Operation: Perform required operations to set up, adjust, and operate precision blade making equipment.

Process Control: Maintain a controlled process utilizing pre-control methods to achieve optimum machine settings.

Quality Checks: Visually inspect and scan patterns of each tray and/or pin of blades produced, using measurement instrumentation to inspect and release all blades to assure quality specifications are met.

Tooling & Maintenance: Remove and replace worn grinding and honing components, including wheels. Work alongside maintenance mechanics on machine repairs as required.

Production Line Support: Maintain a daily production record, achieving productivity goals while simultaneously running multiple machines during breaks.

Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain equipment and work area in a clean, orderly condition while following established safety procedures and EH&S work instructions.

Teamwork & Collaboration: Detect and report unusual conditions to proper supervision and take necessary actions to correct or stop any unsafe practices

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Ability to perform physical, hands-on production work throughout the shift

Ability to move (push, pull, or otherwise manipulate) materials up to 35 lbs. independently and up to 90 lbs. with assistance

Comfortable reaching, stepping up onto a platform, and working in an industrial, oily environment

Strong attention to quality, process control, and safety

Ability to follow written work instructions, procedural requirements, and standardized production processes

Reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years manufacturing, production, or machine-tending experience

working in a regulated business or environment

Prior experience with grinding or honing machinery

Experience performing in-process quality inspections and making manual wheel adjustments

Salary Range: $18.82 - $31.60
