Duties & Responsibilities

Assist senior engineers with software application development and software application enhancements

Support software development with writing, reviewing and debugging code

Learn new skills and technologies through project work

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve individual, team and company goals, including coordinating and leading meetings, with support from manager

Required Skills & Experience

Currently enrolled in a related degree program (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related preferred)

Intermediate programming abilities in object oriented languages such as C#, Java, Python

Knowledge of SQL databases

Experience with Git or related version control system

Ability to work well independently and with coworkers to share knowledge as part of a team

Experience managing time independently and prioritizing tasks

Strong problem-solving ability with the desire to take ownership of challenges and follow through to resolution

Open to feedback and coaching to improve skills

Professional oral and written communication skills

Related academic projects or work experience

Duration

Must be available  ~25 hours/wk and have the ability to work onsite at Itron’s West Union location spring term 2027.
