This role reports to the VP of Global Training Apparel and leads a team responsible for a key portion of our Training Apparel line. You will partner closely with Merchandising, Design, Development (TechDev), Materials, Sourcing, Costing, Brand, Sales, and Geography teams, and you will regularly present to large audiences, including senior leadership. Your partners and teammates will count on you to build a clear strategic plan and lead its execution with process clarity, a solution-oriented mindset, and positive energy, bringing a deep understanding of the consumer, trends, industry, competition, and global marketplace to every decision.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This role leads product strategy and product creation for Training Apparel, building industry-defining product that blends innovation, performance, and style for athletes around the world. We are looking for a leader with strong strategic vision, exceptional product taste, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence without direct authority. The ideal candidate understands the evolving training industry, consumer, marketplace, and cultural landscape, and balances art and science by pairing a sharp product aesthetic with strong business insight.

Passion for apparel, training, and trends

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Merchandising, or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.

10+ years of experience in a product, merchandising, buying, sales, trend, or apparel-related field

In-depth understanding of consumer, marketplace, competition, and industry trends in both training and fashion

Proven ability to lead through influence and build collaborative relationships across a highly matrixed, cross-functional organization

Excellent leadership skills and a consistent record of developing top talent

Strong product foresight and aesthetic sensibility

Strong business insight and analytical abilities to guide product and line decisions

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership and large audiences

Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the time

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In this role, you will drive product strategy and the product creation process from initial concept through commercialization and production, ensuring on-time delivery and development against critical dates, product specifications, and sustainability, performance, and profitability goals.

You will own product realization, including the planning and evolution of product lines and the profitability of the business. You will lead the category product creation team, set the direction for category product stories, and oversee execution through to market.

This is a high-visibility leadership role for someone who knows the product creation process inside and out and is ready to shape the future of Training Apparel.
