We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support a fully on-site retail organization in Jacksonville, Florida. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for a detail oriented individual who can manage high-volume invoice activity, maintain strong vendor relationships, and keep payment processes running smoothly. The role requires a strong background in accounts payable operations, sharp problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.Responsibilities:• Ability to work on-site in our Jacksonville Florida offices • Review incoming invoices for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company guidelines before processing.• Match supplier invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation to confirm proper authorization and support three-way matching requirements.• Assign correct general ledger accounts and cost centers to invoices to ensure accurate financial reporting.• Investigate payment holds, invoice mismatches, and other exceptions, then take prompt action to resolve them within vendor payment terms.• Reconcile vendor statements regularly and address discrepancies, missing payments, or outstanding balances in a timely manner.• Research irregularities in transaction data and reporting to identify root causes and recommend corrective action.• Monitor vendor accounts to keep balances current and follow up on aging items that require resolution.• Communicate effectively with vendors, internal teams, and leadership regarding invoice status, payment questions, and account issues.• Support payment processing activities such as ACH transactions and check runs while maintaining accurate vendor records.
