About Us

From commercial office space and manufacturing to multi-site retail portfolios, we manage and support over 1 billion square feet of facilities space for the nation’s leading organizations. We provide comprehensive facility services ranging from mechanical maintenance and self-performed, site-based operations to energy-efficiency upgrades and supplier-managed interior/exterior maintenance.

Job Summary

Provides site-wide leadership and accountability for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of building mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls/BMS, air-handling, pumping, heat-exchange, and related systems. Directs assigned maintenance technicians, contractors, preventive maintenance programs, emergency response, and corrective work to maintain operational continuity and service quality. Establishes engineering priorities, ensures compliance with EMCOR, customer, and regulatory requirements, and communicates system performance, risks, capital needs, and service issues to EMCOR and customer operations management and business unit stakeholders

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Engineering Operations and Reliability — Direct site engineering operations and oversee the operation, replacement, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, controls/BMS, air-handling, pumping, motor, heat-exchange, and expansion-joint systems. Lead the preventive maintenance program and manage on-demand work orders by establishing priorities, assigning resources, verifying completion and quality, and identifying opportunities to improve reliability. Maintain accountability for tools, bench stock, spare parts, water-treatment programs, engineering spaces, roof access, utility shutoffs, lighting controls, fire alarm stations, irrigation, and all required routine maintenance and repairs. Implement EMCOR and customer safety programs, including staff training, safety equipment, lockout/tagout, and hazardous-material procedures, and perform additional duties within the scope of contractual obligations as required

Team Leadership — Directly supervise assigned engineering and maintenance personnel, including work assignment, scheduling, training, coaching, performance feedback, safety accountability, and participation in hiring and disciplinary decisions in accordance with company policy

Stakeholder Communication — Communicate engineering priorities, system status, service disruptions, operational risks, resource needs, and recommended corrective actions to EMCOR and customer facility operations management teams, tenants and utility-system end users, and business unit stakeholders. Coordinate expectations, provide timely escalation, and follow through on agreed actions

Maintenance Management and CMMS — Lead preventive and corrective maintenance workflows, CMMS administration, contractor activities, shutdowns, system upgrades, and building-infrastructure projects from planning through closeout. Own CMMS data quality by prioritizing and closing work tickets; maintaining accurate asset records and preventive maintenance schedules; monitoring backlog, response times, and completion requirements; and using CMMS data to plan work, identify recurring failures, evaluate team execution, and report performance trends to management

Projects and Vendors - Lead HVAC projects and major system work from planning through closeout, including scope development, contractor coordination, scheduling, shutdown planning, customer communication, quality verification, commissioning support, documentation, and turnover to operations. Manage work performed by outside contractors by coordinating scope, schedule, site access, permits, safety requirements, and customer communication. Verify that third-party providers comply with customer and OSHA requirements, perform work to specification, document results, and resolve deficiencies before closeout

Material Management and Purchases - Plan and requisition materials, tools, and critical spare parts required for preventive maintenance and repairs. Verify specifications, maintain appropriate stock levels, coordinate approvals and delivery, and support cost-effective purchasing without compromising safety, quality, or system reliability
