Sunny Isles Beach is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join its finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounts payable experience, proficiency in Tyler Munis, and advanced Excel skills. Municipal or government accounting experience is a plus.ResponsibilitiesProcess vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.Review invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and appropriate approvals.Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation.Enter and maintain accounts payable transactions in Tyler Munis.Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies.Prepare payments and assist with check runs and electronic payments.Verify general ledger account codes and ensure proper expense allocation.Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and vendor information.Utilize Excel to prepare reports, track expenses, and reconcile financial data.Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.Ensure compliance with municipal policies, internal controls, and applicable procedures.Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment status.
