Saved job description

Join the Worldwide Grocery Real Estate & Store Development (WWGRD)- New Store Construction team as a Construction Manager. Amazon is seeking a representative in the delivery of Whole Foods Market stores and Amazon physical retail spaces.

In this role, you will manage the full construction lifecycle from design review and contractor procurement through construction execution and operational handover for new store builds across your assigned region.

You will be the primary point of interface between Amazon and its external partners, including developers, general contractors, design consultants, and regulatory authorities, while serving as the key integrator between construction and internal teams responsible for store operations, merchandising, equipment, and brand standards.

You will be on site regularly, working directly with the construction trades and driving cost, schedule, and quality outcomes. You will manage construction vendors and contractors, oversee commercial processes including bidding and contract execution, and coordinate closely with partner teams such as Design, Real Estate, Operations, and Commissioning to deliver stores that directly support our customers.

This role requires strong technical construction expertise, sharp commercial acumen, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects independently. You will bring a disciplined approach to safety, budget management, schedule oversight, contract administration, and stakeholder communication, all in service of delivering world-class retail spaces for Amazon's customers.

This role requires regional travel (up to 60%) and availability to work from a corporate office when not traveling. Candidates should either live near or be willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance of the office.
