Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

The Sales Audit Specialist is responsible for reviewing and reconciling daily restaurant sales data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of BJ’s financial reporting by verifying sales, payments, and deposits across all restaurant locations.

How You’ll Contribute

Review and reconcile daily restaurant sales, deposits, and payment activity.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash, credit card, and delivery platform transactions.

Ensure all data is accurately uploaded from the POS system to the accounting system.

Communicate with restaurants, operations teams, and IT to resolve reporting or deposit issues.

Assist with the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations during month-end close.

Maintain audit trails and documentation to support financial reporting and internal controls.

Support process improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

1–3 years of experience in sales audit (restaurant or retail experience a plus).

Working knowledge of Excel and basic accounting principles.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Proactive mindset, eager to develop new skills, and comfort in navigating changes.

Experience with POS systems, payment processing, and ERP systems preferred (Workday a plus).

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This role follows a hybrid schedule. You’ll join us at our Restaurant Support Center in Huntington Beach Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

Salary Range

USD $23.00 – $25.00

This salary range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Final salary within the range will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, and other job-related qualifications.
