Prime Air is seeking an experienced engineering leader who combines superb technical, research and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. Experience in leading embedded systems or firmware development teams is a must. A successful candidate will be comfortable working with a team of top-notch developers and collaborating with our systems, test, safety and security teams. Key job responsibilities

- Lead a team of talented firmware and embedded software engineers

- Manage and develop the team, including hiring, retention, performance management, mentoring and capability/skill development

- Lead architecture, design, implementation, and operational support of key components on the Prime Air delivery drone

- Act as point of contact for communications dealing with project deliverables, setting the expectation, managing priorities, technologies, and management issues

- Establish high bar for processes and standards in the execution of all projects

Requirements: - 3+ years of engineering team management experience

- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience

- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

- 2+ years of leading embedded systems or firmware engineering teams
