We are looking for a Billing Specialist II to support billing, collections, and accounts receivable operations for a Contract position based in New York, New York. In this role, you will help keep invoicing and payment activity accurate, timely, and well documented while partnering with internal teams and external customers. This opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys organized financial work, clear communication, and contributing to reliable day-to-day finance operations.Responsibilities:• Review customer account information and assist with credit-related checks to support informed billing and collection decisions.• Communicate with customers regarding past-due balances, track follow-up activity, and maintain clear records of collection efforts.• Update vendor and customer account details to help ensure financial records remain accurate and complete.• Support account reconciliation tasks by researching discrepancies and assisting with resolution of open billing and payment items.• Prepare routine reports related to receivables, aging, cash flow activity, and other operational finance metrics.• Partner with internal departments and external contacts to help process transactions correctly and meet service expectations.• Gather and organize data for working capital monitoring, including open items and account status updates.• Contribute to process documentation, basic financial analysis, and ongoing improvements within billing and collections operations.• Work toward departmental performance goals while maintaining a customer-focused approach in daily interactions.
