This is a full-time in office position in Tampa. The Accounting Assistant supports accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions to ensure accurate financial records, timely payments, and compliance with organizational policies. This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, and supporting a collaborative accounting team.What You'll Do-Accounts Payable & Accounts ReceivableInput vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and required approvalsPrepare and process weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH, and online bill payMaintain vendor records and payment termsRequest W-9 forms as neededMonitor and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiriesTrack invoice due dates to help ensure timely paymentsAssist with 1099 preparation and year-end reportingGenerate and email customer invoices as neededMatch and post customer payments, including checks and ACHMonitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balancesCommunicate with customers regarding billing questions and payment statusGeneral Accounting & Administrative SupportMaintain accurate and organized financial records and documentationAssist with audits, financial reviews, and auditor requestsMonitor shared accounting email inboxes and respond to inquiries as appropriateSupport payroll processing and provide backup as neededReview employee expense reimbursement requests for required documentation and approvalsPerform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned
