We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to strengthen the finance team in Florida. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting specialist who can oversee core ledger activity, support timely close cycles, and deliver meaningful financial analysis to business leaders. The position works closely with the Controller, cross-functional partners, and external auditors to maintain accurate reporting, strong controls, and informed decision-making.Responsibilities:• Oversee day-to-day general ledger activity and maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records.• Contribute to monthly close activities by preparing journal entries, reviewing allocations, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and explaining period-to-period fluctuations.• Partner with finance leadership on budgeting efforts and provide support during planning and forecast cycles.• Evaluate accounting matters to ensure financial treatment aligns with generally accepted accounting principles and internal policies.• Monitor cost and standard variance trends, investigate unusual results, and recommend corrective actions to improve reporting accuracy.• Act as a key contact for external audit requests and help coordinate supporting schedules, documentation, and follow-up items.• Administer intercompany billing and reconciliation processes to ensure balances are properly recorded and resolved.• Support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, prepare analyses such as warranty reserves, excess and obsolete inventory, accounts receivable allowance, tax filings, and ad hoc financial reporting as needed.
