Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

Own and develop multi-year category strategies aligned with business objectives, growth plans, and technology roadmaps.  Establish dual‑source and risk‑mitigation strategies for critical materials

Build and manage executive-level supplier relationships, including strategic partnerships and alliances

Monitor global market conditions, geopolitical risks, and macroeconomic trends to proactively adjust sourcing strategies

Lead RFQs, RFPs, supplier selection, and sourcing decisions for assigned commodities or programs

Lead supplier negotiations covering pricing, lead time, commercial terms, and long‑term agreements

Manage strategic supplier relationships, including performance reviews and corrective actions

Act as a strategic partner to Engineering, Operations, and Program Management in NPI, product lifecycle management, and design-to-cost initiatives.  Influence senior stakeholders and leadership decisions through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations

Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve end-to-end supply chain performance and resilience

Support supplier development initiatives to improve quality, delivery, and cost performance

Identify and execute cost‑reduction initiatives, including VAVE, should‑cost analysis, and supplier consolidation.   Champion best practices in sourcing, contracting, and supplier management across the organization

Track, validate, and report realized and forecasted cost savings

Support annual operating plan (AOP) goals and long‑range cost‑reduction targets

Support manufacturing continuity during supply disruptions.   Serve as the escalation point for high-risk supply continuity, cost, or performance issues

Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contract terms, export controls, and government regulations.  Support internal and external audits as required

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management

Demonstrated experience leading supplier negotiations, supplier agreements and sourcing initiatives

Experience in a manufacturing and/or regulated environment

Strong financial acumen, analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Ability to travel up to 25–50% depending on business needs

Preferred Qualifications

SAP or ERP sourcing experience

Experience managing global supply bases and international sourcing strategies

Knowledge of contract terms, pricing structures, and supplier agreements

Expertise in supplier risk management, geopolitical considerations, and supply chain resilience

Knowledge of US Government Procurement DFAR requirements
