At AMD, we believe technology has the power to solve the world’s most important challenges. From advancing healthcare and scientific discovery to powering AI and the technologies people rely on every day, innovation at AMD is shaping the future.

Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or bringing leading edge products to market, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward. Join us and, together, we’ll advance your career.

THE ROLE:

AMD is looking for a Software Development Manager to build and lead a new software engineering team focused on integrated marketing technology capabilities. This is a player-coach opportunity for a technically strong engineering manager who can build and develop a team while remaining close to architecture, problem-solving, and production delivery. The team will create applications, automation, AI-enabled capabilities, user experiences, and integrations that address meaningful marketing and business needs.

THE PERSON:

You are an experienced software engineering leader with a strong full-stack foundation and a record of delivering production software. You can translate business priorities into clear technical plans, guide architecture and engineering decisions, and develop a high-performing team. You are comfortable working across engineering, product, marketing, creative, data, and other partner organizations. You remain technically engaged while providing the leadership, structure, and coaching needed to move work from concept through delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build, lead, and develop a software engineering team focused on MarTech applications and automation.

Establish effective engineering practices, technical standards, and expectations for quality and delivery.

Translate marketing and business needs into technical requirements, architecture decisions, and delivery plans.

Guide the design, development, deployment, and operation of full-stack applications, services, automation, and integrations.

Remain close to technical architecture and delivery, contributing directly to technical problem-solving where needed.

Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Creative, Data, IT, Security, Privacy, Legal, and other AMD teams.

Apply AI and automation where they can create measurable value, with appropriate validation, security, privacy, and operational controls.

Establish measurable goals for delivery, reliability, system performance, and continuous improvement.

Hire, coach, and mentor engineers while maintaining a strong focus on team and product outcomes.

Communicate technical direction, progress, risks, and trade-offs to technical and business stakeholders.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience leading software engineers and delivering production software.

Strong full-stack engineering knowledge across back-end systems and user-facing applications.

Experience guiding architecture and technical decisions through production delivery.

Experience building a team, establishing engineering practices, and developing technical talent.

Practical experience with AI, automation, or AI-enabled software products.

Strong communication and collaboration across technical and business organizations.

Experience with MarTech, creative tooling, AdTech, retail media, e-commerce, analytics, customer-facing platforms, or another integration-heavy environment is a plus.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience and demonstrated impact.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
