We are seeking a Billing Specialist to join our accounting team. This individual will be responsible for preparing and issuing invoices, maintaining billing records, monitoring customer accounts, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of billing transactions.The ideal candidate has strong communication and analytical skills, enjoys working with financial data, and can maintain accurate billing records while providing excellent customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, review, and issue customer invoices accurately and on time.Review contracts, purchase orders, and supporting documentation to ensure billing accuracy.Maintain customer billing records and account information.Monitor billing activity and follow up on invoice discrepancies and outstanding balances.Investigate and resolve customer billing inquiries and disputes.Process credit memos, adjustments, refunds, and billing corrections as needed.Reconcile billing records and investigate discrepancies.Generate billing reports and assist with revenue tracking activities.Collaborate with accounting, sales, operations, and customer service teams to resolve billing issues.Ensure invoices comply with customer contracts and company billing policies.Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.Support internal and external audits by providing requested billing documentation.Recommend process improvements to increase billing efficiency and accuracy.
