This position offers hands-on responsibility, exposure to investment accounting, and the opportunity to expand into financial reporting, tax, and portfolio reporting over time. Experience in a family office, financial services, investment company or public accounting is ideal. The Staff Accountant will play an integral role in the day-to-day accounting operations of the family office. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.Perform monthly bank, brokerage, and investment account reconciliations.Assist with wire transfers, cash management activities, and related controls.Manage accounts payable processing and recurring payment schedules.Record transactions and maintain data withinAssist with bank, brokerage, and investment account documentation and administration.Support month-end and year-end closing activities.Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis.Maintain organized electronic filing and accounting records.Develop knowledge of investment accounting and portfolio reporting.Support tax preparation processes and special projects as assigned.The company offers an excellent opportunity to grow in a proactive collaborative environment.
